Gateshead Local History Society
Gateshead Local History Society was formed in September 1964 by Gateshead Libraries and the membership has continued to grow year on year.
We meet at Gateshead Library, Prince Consort Road on the first Thursday of each month from September to April (excluding December) at 7.00pm.
The annual subscription is £4.00
Our Local History nights are made up of various activities such as:-
- Talks by visiting speakers
- Reseach activities
- Occasional visits to historuical places of interest
