GATESHEAD Carers Association is running a free course to help carers cope with their roles and responsibilities.
The eight-week Caring with Confidence course runs from Thursday 5 May.
The informal course aims to help carers make a difference to their lives – and the lives of the people, for whom they care.
Sessions will help carers to:
- Build on their strengths as carers
Finchale Training College
Finchale Training College provides vocational training programmes for unemployed disabled adults
Finchale Training College provides vocational training programmes for unemployed disabled adults. Based in Durham it has courses from accountancy to wood occupations. These courses are free to qualifying adults and are accessible through a Disability Employment Advisor at Gateshead Jobcentre Plus. Travel costs to and from Gateshead are provided.
GVOC NVQ TRAINING PROGRAMME 2010/11
GVOC’s Community Capacity Building Project is now able to offer free NVQ’s to voluntary and community organisations, programmes offered include:
